My view from my hotel room!

I love to travel! It is something that is deep within me that says to get up and go explore! We did just that! This past week we decided to head down to Nashville, Tennessee. We have been through Tennessee several times and attended a few structured church camps, but never really went to enjoyed it. This trip landed us at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel! Let me tell you this hotel has it all. For those who are directionally challenged beware, because this place is so huge that if you get lost they have an app to help you find your way back to your room! Thankfully, I was born with a natural sense of direction!

The view as we entered the hotel!

Let me start off by talking about the service that we received. As we arrived at the hotel we were instructed to pull into the valet parking area. The gentlemen that were there were on top of their job. They helped us unload our vehicle and escorted us to our room. The history of the hotel was narrated by our lovely bellhop on the journey to our room. It was huge and gorgeous! He told us about the different gardens and restaurants (there were many), and we were just in awe! Everything that you could possibly need was all in this hotel! We arrived at our room, and it was your typical kind of hotel room. We arrived at our room, and it was your typical kind of hotel room. However, I did love the balcony that was attached to our room.

The balcony.

After we settled in…we went out to explore this place! The kids enjoyed a bit of time swimming (the pool goes up to five feet and closes at 8). Swimming came to an end, and then we enjoyed the well-thought out plan and design of the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. We visited the shops, restaurants, boat tour, and the gardens! This hotel is well equipped with everything to the point you don’t really need to leave at all. It is an all-inclusive hotel. Although, we thoroughly enjoyed all of the amenities, the one not-so-good thing about this hotel was that everything was completely overpriced! When you have a family of four or more things tends to add up rather quickly. We opted out of eating and snacking at the hotel, and ordered a pizza. The next morning the kids and I headed out and journeyed to Kroger to pick up food, and then around Downtown Nashville to sightsee. We didn’t care that we didn’t know our way around. We turned down this street then that! Those are the best journeys in my opinion!

All-in-all this vacation was a win! The staff was pleasant, the rooms were clean, the pool was good and clean, and the sights were amazing! If you decide to go to Nashville I highly encourage you to visit the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. GBY and have a great day!
